The HypeHaus iOS app is the front door to a category that has never had one. Discovery, list flow, in-venue experience, payment, content — it all ships through SwiftUI. We need an iOS engineer who can ship production SwiftUI fast, owns architecture decisions end-to-end, and treats this app like a craft, not a feature factory. The first version goes to TestFlight in 6 weeks.
- Ship the v1 HypeHaus iOS app to TestFlight in 6 weeks, App Store in 10
- Own the iOS architecture end-to-end — SwiftUI, async/await, modern concurrency, no UIKit-bridge cruft unless absolutely needed
- Build the discovery surface, list flow, in-venue check-in, and payment integration
- Own the design-to-build loop with the founder — translate Figma into shipping product fast
- Wire the iOS app to the backend API surface — REST/GraphQL, depending on what backend ships
- Own the App Store submission, TestFlight rollout, and production crash monitoring
- Build a lightweight CI pipeline — Fastlane or equivalent — so every push deploys to TestFlight automatically
- Co-own the design system in code with the design + backend engineers
- 4–8 years shipping production iOS — SwiftUI in production is non-negotiable
- Strong opinions on iOS architecture — MVVM, TCA, or your own — and willingness to defend them
- Comfortable owning the entire iOS stack solo for the first version — you are the iOS team
- App Store submission experience, including the unfun parts (Apple review, IAP, ATT prompts, privacy nutrition)
- Async-first remote collaboration — fast in writing, fast in code review, slow in meetings
- Bonus: prior consumer-app launch, prior payments integration (Razorpay, Stripe, Apple Pay)
We open this role when revenue can sustain it — likely Wave 2 onwards. When we do, expect: top-decile cash for an early-stage self-funded startup, meaningful ESOP (4-year vest, 1-year cliff), direct collaboration with the founder, and a small team with big ownership.
